Kevin A. Lipeles
Combining his entrepreneurial and legal knowledge and experience, Kevin A. Lipeles founded Lipeles Law Group in 2007. Mr. Lipeles’ practice focuses on general business transactions and negotiations, business and civil litigation, contract law, labor and employment law, personal injury, and premises liability.

Prior to founding his law firm, Mr. Lipeles managed several retail businesses, including a high-end jewelry business and full service restaurant. As a result, Mr. Lipeles’ experience extends beyond the often theoretical confines of a legal dispute, allowing him to bring a practical, business-oriented approach to solving disputes.

In addition, Mr. Lipeles represents and manages professional prize fighters, working to secure his boxers high profile and world championship fights.

Mr. Lipeles is also fluent in Spanish.

Mr. Lipeles received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he served as class representative for 2 years. In addition, Mr. Lipeles served on the Dean’s List, graduating in the top 30% of his class. While in law school, Mr. Lipeles served as an extern to the Loyola Law School Center for Conflict Resolution, and served as an extern to Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Joseph Di Lorreto in the Long Beach division.

Tom Schelly

Thomas H. Schelly is Of Counsel to Lipeles Law Group. His practice focuses on general business and insurance litigation in state and federal courts, including disputes related to insurance coverage, construction defect, professional liability, contract law, employer liability, intellectual property, personal injury, and premises liability. In particular, he has developed substantial experience representing design professionals, attorneys, business managers, and insurance brokers and agents in professional liability, insurance and business litigation matters.

Mr. Schelly is also well versed in entertainment litigation, and as a former music studio broker for a world-class recording studio NRG Recording, he brings industry insight to his representation of clients, which have included entertainment business management firms. Recently, he represented several of former celebrity private investigator Anthony Pellicano’s wiretapping victims.

Prior to joining Mr. Lipeles, Mr. Schelly practiced with Morris Polich & Purdy LLP and Jampol, Zimet, Skane & Wilcox. Notable accomplishments include settling a breach of contract claim for less than 20 percent of the original claim, and successfully defending a landowner against a negligence lawsuit when a landslide caused significant damage to the plaintiff’s home.

Mr. Schelly received his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Todd Vollucci is of Counsel to Lipeles Law Group. Mr. Vollucci’s practice includes general business litigation, construction defect disputes, corporate and partnership formation, and federal and state tax issues. Prior to joining Mr. Lipeles, Mr. Vollucci worked for twelve years with a construction defect firm, McGuinness & Associates, handling construction defect and collection cases involving airports, hotels, schools and condominium complexes. Mr. Vollucci is also a licensed tax preparer and has prepared personal, corporate, partnership, estate and trust tax returns for over 20 years.

Mr. Vollucci received his J.D. from Loyola Law School, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California. While at Loyola, Mr. Vollucci served as an extern with the U.S. Tax Attorney’s office.

Some of Mr. Vollucci’s accomplishments include obtaining a dismissal of a multi-million dollar claim by the California Franchise Tax Board against a corporation, without any payment by the client, obtaining a dismissal of litigation against an investment firm by a disgruntled investor, for no payment by the investment firm, successfully resolving through mediation, cases involving breach of contract and professional misconduct and the filing of numerous mechanic’s liens, stop notices, bond claims and Miller Act notices to effectuate payment to subcontractor clients.

Julian_Bellenghi

Julian Bellenghi is of Counsel to Lipeles Law Group. Mr. Bellenghi is a graduate of the University of the District of Columbia School of Law and Georgetown University.  While in law school, he interned with Justice Rita Davidson on the Maryland Court of Appeals, that state’s highest court.  Upon graduation, Mr. Bellenghi served as a law clerk for Judge Jean Dwyer at the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Mr. Bellenghi specializes in trial and appellate law.  He has tried and pursued appeals of various cases in local and federal courts in California, the District of Columbia, New York and Connecticut. His areas of expertise include labor and employment, union management relations, probate, contract interpretation, torts, specifically catastrophic personal injury, libel and slander, and intra church disputes. Mr Bellenghi also has represented clients in labor arbitrations, contract negotiations and before federal and state regulatory agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, United States Department of Labor,  the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.
Mr. Bellenghi is a former court appointed arbitrator for the Los Angeles County Superior Court as well as a former Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles Municipal Court. He is a former President of the Italian American Lawyers Association and fluent in both Italian and Spanish.

BoyleSuzanneWebSuzanne Boyle is of Counsel to Lipeles Law Group. Ms. Boyle’s practice includes medical malpractice, elder abuse, premises liability and personal injury.  Prior to joining Mr. Lipeles, Ms. Boyle worked for twenty-five years for the firms of O’Flaherty & Belgum and Fonda & Fraser. Ms. Boyle is also a licensed real estate broker.
Ms. Boyle received her J.D. from Western State University where she graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian.  She was a recipient of a Dean’s scholarship, a member of Law Review, and earned 14 American Juris Prudence awards. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Mary’s University in Los Angeles, where she graduated cum laude with a degree in mathematics and a minor in French.
